The finals started at 12:30 in the morning, my time, and I had all intentions of staying up but a hard workout at the gym knocked me off to sleep, temporarily. I woke up at about 1:30 and saw that Roger had taken the first set in a tiebreak 7-6 (2). I was kinda suprised he was pushed to a tiebreak but when play resumed, I understood. Fernando Gonzales was smacking that ball to within a inch of its life! I was a bit groggy, having just interrupted my sleep, but I thought I was watching it on fast forward. Roger took the next two sets in pretty standard fashion 6-4, 6-4 for his 3rd consecutive Australian Open and his 10th major title. As always, my dream's to go to the French Open. It would be terrific to see Roger. After coming up short in finals in 05 and 06, this may be the year he gets the French. Paris in spring sure does sound nice...
